CVS ExtraCare Bucks

Did you know that you can score free products and actually make
money with the CVS ExtraCare program? I have been actually "playing" for a few months and can tell you that it really works. I have gotten everything from toothpaste to crackers to batteries and lightbulbs all free or merely pennies. In some transactions I actually earned back more than I spent OOP (out of pocket).

This is how to do it:

1. You need an ExtraCare card which is just like the shopper cards you get at the grocery store. These are free and you can get them in the store or via http://www.cvs.com/.

2. Each time you shop, you will save money with special sales that require you scan your CVS cards when you check out.

3. On top of the card savings, you can use manufacturer coupons on the items you buy to save on your total cost.

4. CVS offers "bonus" coupons to all ExtraCare members. You print these coupons at the store by scanning your card at the coupon kiosk machines located at the front of the store. You can use these coupons in addition to the manufacturer coupons.

5. Purchase products at the store that will earn you ExtraCare Bucks (ECBs). ECBs are like store credit that you can use on a future purchase for just about anything that CVS sells (exclusions include tobacco, stamps and giftcards).

6. If you combine steps 1-5 with the sales CVS runs weekly, you can basically use CVS's money (in the form of ECBs) to buy products you use or products you can give away or donate to others.

**TIP - Look for my posts listing the great CVS deals and the coupons you will need to make these items super cheap, free or even moneymakers.

Sunday Coupon Preview

Here is a preview of this Sunday's coupons. I get this from the website http://www.taylortownpreview.com/.

I personally get both the Star Ledger and the Courier News. The Observer carries the SmartSource insert albeit smaller than the one in the Star Ledger. It is the same SmartSource insert you will find in the Courier News. The Courier News carries both RedPlum and SmartSource. No RedPlum insert this week but there is a Proctor & Gamble insert.

I usually buy extra papers so I can stock up on my "good" coupons. You can get discounted papers at The Dollar Store.
